Timber framed buildings form the basis of most barn type or equestrian structures. They have thick framing (usually 50x100mm) to which various cladding boards can be fixed to make it weatherproof. If you intend to use this type of building for more than just storage then it is very easy to insulate and line to make it suitable for all year round use.
